Purpose

Razor wire is a part of the fence wire systems, generally oval in shape, added to fence systems to ensure security and prevent jumping over the fence. It is widely used in areas where barbed wire is insufficient and there is a high risk of trespassing. It entangles individuals or objects entering the prohibited area, making it the best option for high-security requirements.

Types of Razor Wires

Razor wires are manufactured to meet specific area needs and can be divided into four groups:

1. Concertina / Spiral Razor Wire
   • Heights: 45 cm (17 in), 60 cm (23 in), 90 cm (35 in)
   • Material: Galvanized, 430-grade stainless steel, 304-grade stainless steel
   • Features: 0.5 mm (0.019 in) thin razor sheet with sharp edges, tube-shaped form in a spiral shape, maximizing security for tube post fencing.
2. Flat Wrap Razor Wire
   • Aesthetically pleasing and suitable for security purposes
   • Applicable to flat-post panel fences and wrought iron fences
3. Straight-Line Razor Wire
   • Heights: 45 cm (17 in), 60 cm (23 in), 90 cm (35 in)
   • Material: Galvanized, 430-grade stainless steel, 304-grade stainless steel
   • Features: 0.5 mm (0.019 in) thin razor blades with sharp edges, similar in function to spiral razor wire but with a flatter and more flexible appearance.
4. Welded Razor Wire
   • Decorative look with an intermittent form
   • Includes small razors at corners to prevent climbing
   • Available in green and gray color options, painted with oven paint
   • Common uses: Sites, parks, gardens, private property areas
   • Features: High resistance to breaking and bending, adding significant security.
