Gas pipes are usually made of materials such as steel, copper or plastic (HDPE, PVC). The manufacturing process is as follows:
Raw Material Supply : Steel, copper or plastic raw materials are supplied.
Extrusion or Casting : While the extrusion method is used for plastic pipes, casting or rolling process is applied for metal pipes.
Shaping : Pipes are shaped to the desired diameter and thickness. Steel pipes are shaped by rolling and welding processes.
Heat Treatment : Steel pipes are heat treated to obtain the desired mechanical properties.
Coating and Surface Treatments : Pipes are subjected to galvanizing, coating or painting processes to increase resistance to corrosion.
Testing and Quality Control : Pipes are subjected to quality control tests such as pressure tests, leakage tests and durability tests.
Cutting and Packaging : Manufactured pipes are cut to the desired dimensions, packaged and made ready for shipment.
