Power plywood Birch is a birchwood-veneer plywood sheet with film coating on both sides, for horizontal and vertical formwork applications.
Technical data
Note: All values in the tables are based on a sheet moisture content of 10 ± 2% on delivery.
Changes in the wood's moisture content can have effects on the weight, dimensions and mechanical properties of the sheet.
The grain of the outside layers of this formwork sheet runs transverse to the longitudinal direction of the sheet.

Sheet structure
- Material: Film-coated plywood sheet made of birchwood.
- Veneer arrangement: Longwise.
Glue-bonding
- Type: Boil-resistant, alkali-resistant, water-resistant, and weather-resistant phenolic-resin glue-bonding.
- Standards: Meets EN 314-2 Service Class 3, DIN 68705 BFU 100 or BS 6566 WBP.
Surfaces
- Coating: Both sides with phenolic-resin film (125 g/m² (SC) or 250 g/m² (DC) per side).
- Edge sealing: Acrylic-resin varnish.
Number of cycles
- General Information: Frequency of use depends on various factors affecting the formwork sheet.
- Guide value (optimal conditions and correct handling):
- 18 mm thick sheets: Up to 30 cycles (SC) or 50 cycles (DC).
Notes on use
- Proper handling is crucial for formwork sheets.
- Wood naturally expands and contracts due to moisture changes.
Prior to use:
- Ensure the wood moisture content of the sheets matches the surrounding environment.
Protection:
- Cover sheets to minimize exposure to extreme weather conditions (sunlight or moisture) and reduce cracking.
- Seal cut edges and around holes with edge varnish.
Additional notes:
- Use a high-quality release agent for easier formwork removal.
- Immediately remove concrete residue from the surfaces after stripping the formwork.
Important:
- Avoid using pointed/sharp objects, wire brushes, abrasive disks/cup brushes, or high-pressure spray cleaners.
