DOC Slave
16 Slave Zone Expander Control Module
Product Features
DOC-S is the Slave control unit of the EnormPA brand, certified to EN54-16. It is used as a zone expander for a 16 or 8 channel system. DOC8 or 16 is an Ethernet based PA/VA system that can be used up to 8 or 16 channels respectively. DOC-S is the slave unit with the same features, used when there are more zones than the main control unit. Designed to work even in decentralized systems, this system is not only completely reliable, but also provides high security operations such as switching to the backup power amplifier, fault detection and indication, real-time speaker line impedance monitoring and open/short circuit detection in all emergency tasks. Thanks to the latest technology “multi-connectivity” application, there is no limit in terms of communication and flexibility. It supports automatic switching between amplifiers. All inputs and outputs are fully programmable and allow automated or pre-planned announcements to be transmitted to selected zones. A maximum of 3 source files can be played over the network or from internal files. Zone and source names can be defined via the web-based interface.
DOC-S monitors the connected speaker line and supports ground fault detection. It periodically tests itself and automatically detects faults. It has a built-in loudspeaker to monitor the zones. Announcements made, faults received, etc. are kept in logs and recorded in the system. Broadcasting can be done via scheduled tasks. Emergency announcements and messages are kept in memory and broadcasted according to the given priority. It can be powered from the mains or from a backup power source. The main power supply is protected by a fuse. The ESCO-DOC system can be easily integrated and significantly reduces installation, maintenance and operating costs thanks to the plug-and-play philosophy.
