Glued Melamine Edge Banding This product, known as ironing tape in Turkey and has no alternative in ON-SITE applications, is still used by both individuals and carpenters. Although the consumption of the product decreases, its use will continue forever because it is irreplaceable. The paper thickness, which is 170gr/m2 raw and becomes 250gr/m2 by impregnating it with a special resin (melamine), is out of standard and therefore is found in very few regions in the world. The printing we apply to these papers that we import (within ASTS) is prepared as 5 mt to 100 mt (standard stocks are 50 meters) after slicing, gluing and winding processes. After applying plastic shrink to the rolls, they are placed in boxes and shipped to our customers.
Glued Melamine Edge Banding The reels we import are 50cm wide and we can produce any size starting from 16mm. While PVC tapes are generally requested to be 4mm wider than the plates, this decreases to 3mm in melamine tapes and can even be 2mm in some competitive markets. As Leon, we can offer our products to our customers with our large and experienced staff by offering unlimited different packaging. Our paper thickness is single and comes in 0.27mm thickness without glue. Although we think that this is the optimum thickness for this product, we think that not only the thickness but also the IMPREGNATION QUALITY has a very important place in the final product. We do not recommend our customers a paper that is too flexible so that they may have problems with shaving, nor a hard paper that has come out of a mediocre impregnation. The paper that we recommend, which is quite flexible and at an impregnation level where they will not have any problems after shaving, successfully results in ALL applications except softforming. The print quality on patterned products is 100% the same as the print quality known worldwide with ASTS' Mobelkant brand. The products do not have the clarity problem known as "milky effect" and do not lag behind thermoplastic edge bands in the slightest visual sense.
Glued Melamine Edge Banding Again, the glue used in glued melamine products - as a result of many years spent in the sector - is the CORRECT glue that is both economical and has high adhesion strength, supplied from the most accurate supplier at the most accurate price. The type of glue is very important in these products and there is no such thing as the most expensive glues giving the best results. Since the product has to be economical, the glue we have developed is both economical and the optimum glue that has to be processed in all geographies and all weather temperatures in the world. Ironing tape, supplied as glued edge band (Ironing tape), can be wrapped and served in 5mt packages specially for hardware stores. It is recommended to use ironing bases, especially in embossed products, in the use of ironing tapes. Tapes that can be produced in any size between 16mm - 500mm and in lengths ranging from 5m to 100m are generally kept as 20mm in stocks and there are 20 rolls in a box. A 20mm roll, when 50 meters long, corresponds to exactly 1m2 and there are 20m2 of product in a box.
