For this reason, a SINGLE color chart is used for both plugs and glued PVCs. This chart, which includes 103 colors, is also used to wrap any product (mainly kitchen base) in ASTS's profile wrapping lines. If the PVC product has the advantages of stock and one-to-one matching, why do people still use melamine edge bands? There are 2 answers to this; the first is that the PVC comes into direct contact with the iron surface and very high temperatures damage the surface, and the second is people's habits that they have not changed. Although the PVC edge band can melt in direct contact with the iron, the banding application can be successfully carried out by melting the glue without damaging the PVC with an ironing mat that can be placed in between or by providing another insulation environment.

In general, there are great differences in quality between the use of paper-based edge bands and plastic-based edge bands. Therefore, the transition to plastic edge bands, which is our main strength, is very important. Melamine bands can break with the slightest impact and may not be resistant to moisture and water. However, thanks to their high temperature resistance, they are more suitable for applications made with irons - as long as an iron base is not used on PVC products. This product has 2 types of application areas. The first is the direct contact with the iron mentioned above. The second method is to use a hot air gun to blow hot air not on the surface of the PVC but on the other side towards the glue, melting the glue and allowing it to stick to the plate. The glue used in both cases is VERY important. In both applications, low temperature active glue, also known as curved edge glue, should be used. This product is not very economical and increases the cost of the product compared to melamine edge banding.

The biggest factor in the product not being widely used is that manufacturers are using the wrong glue.
