The above values are given for +23 ºC and 50% relative humidity.
Pre-Application Preparation:
Care must be taken to ensure that the application surface is cured and solid.
The application surface must be cleared of substances that prevent adhesion such as dust, oil and paint.
Sub-surfaces that are not strong enough to support the application, such as cracked plasters and weak surfaces, should be cleaned from the application surface.
Floors requiring repair should be repaired with special repair mortars at least 3-4 days before applying the adhesive.
The application surface should be wetted and care should be taken to keep it moist.
If the surface is very absorbent, it is recommended to use a primer on the surface.
APPLICATION:
25 kg of Alfix Flex, Flex Tile-Ceramic Adhesive Mortar is poured into a container filled with approximately 6.5-8.0 liters of water and mixed with a low-speed mixer or trowel until a lump-free mixture is obtained. During the mixing process, no additives not specified in the application instructions should be added. The prepared mortar should be left to mature for 5-10 minutes and mixed again for 1-2 minutes until it becomes homogeneous. The mixture in the container should be consumed within 1-2 hours. The prepared mortar is spread on the surface with a notched trowel with appropriate tooth size.
Coating materials such as tiles and ceramics should be adhered to the combed mortar within 20-30 minutes (This period may vary depending on the environmental conditions of the application).
Pasting should not be done on expired mortar, mortar should be scraped off the surface and new mortar should be applied again. Coating materials should be tamped with a rubber hammer to ensure proper placement and adhesion. In outdoor applications, it can be mixed with Allmax Latex to provide stronger adhesion . Joint filling should be done after 8 hours on walls and 1 day on floors.
Warnings:
Avoid application at temperatures below +5ºC and above +35ºC.
Newly completed applications should be protected against adverse weather effects such as direct sunlight, excessive drafts, high air temperatures (above +35ºC), rain and frost during the first days.
Avoid direct contact of the completed application with water within the first 24 hours.
Never add powder or water to expired or crusted mortar in the container; throw the mortar away.
Wash all tools and application equipment with clean water immediately after use.
Consumption: 3-5 kg/m²
Consumption amounts are theoretically calculated values in a laboratory environment; we recommend that a consumption control sample be applied before application.
