Public Works Item No: 04.613/3F04-05-06
Area of Use:
Indoors and outdoors,
In residential, commercial and industrial building flooring
In factories,
In business and shopping centers,
In schools and hospitals,
In construction markets and supermarkets,
At gas stations,
In fairgrounds,
In hangars,
In mechanical workshops,
In garages,
In basement floors,
In warehouses,
In loading and unloading areas,
In metro stations and underground passages,
In parks and gardens,
On pedestrian paths and sidewalks,
It is used on surfaces that may be exposed to any kind of friction.
Features:
It is easily applied to fresh concrete.
It is economical and long-lasting.
It contains quartz aggregate with special granulometric grain size.
Thanks to the special binders it contains, it absorbs the water of the fresh concrete to which it is applied and forms a monolithic structure with the concrete after finishing.
The Altop 100 applied surface is 2-4 times more resistant to abrasion than a normal concrete surface.
Provides resistance against wear and impact on concrete surfaces and joint edges.
It is resistant to freeze-thaw cycles.
Its resistance and impermeability to substances such as oil, petrol, etc. are higher than normal concrete.
It has different color options.
It does not oxidize and has a long service life.
Technical Specifications:
Color: Gray/Red/Green
Aggregate Hardness: 7 Mohs Hardness Scale
Application Temperature: +5ºC to +35ºC
Abrasion Resistance: ≤ 3.5 cm³ / 50 cm²
Compressive Strength: ≥ 45 N/mm²
The above values are given for +23 ºC and 50% relative humidity.
Pre-Application Preparation:
If Altop 100 is to be applied on old concrete, C25 concrete of at least 7 cm thickness should be poured first.
Floor primer should be used to increase the adhesion and ensure bonding between new and old concrete.
The wetness of the concrete surface on which the application will be made is extremely important.
The surface must be wet enough for Altop 100 to absorb the moisture it needs.
If the surface is too wet, the material will disappear within the thickness of the concrete; if the surface is too dry, the product will not bond to the surface and the application will be inefficient.
APPLICATION:
In application areas, after the base concrete is poured in the form of anolar and completed, the concrete surface is leveled with a float (vibrating float). When the base concrete sets in a way that leaves a footprint on its surface, disc finishing is done. Immediately after this stage is completed, 2/3 of the total amount is spread homogeneously on the fresh concrete surface. It is expected that the material absorbs the water of the concrete, becomes moist and acquires a dark color. Care is taken to ensure that the color is equal on every side of the ground. This amount, which is poured homogeneously on the surface, is thoroughly absorbed into the fresh concrete with the disc finishing. After this, the remaining 1/3 is sprinkled on the fresh concrete surface and finishing is done with the help of the disc finishing. The finishing process is continued until the desired surface quality is achieved.
After the finishing process is completed, Curemax curing materials should be used to protect the concrete surface . Curemax curing materials increase the concrete strength value and slow down the rate of water evaporation in the concrete, allowing the concrete to set with the amount of water present. It prevents the formation of shrinkage cracks and surface dust.
Curing:
After the finishing process is completed, Curemax curing materials should be used to protect the concrete surface . Curemax curing materials increase the concrete strength value and slow down the rate of water evaporation in the concrete, allowing the concrete to set with the amount of water available. It prevents the formation of shrinkage cracks and surface dust. Curing must be done in summer and winter.
Warnings:
During application, the ambient and ground temperature should be between +5ºC and +35ºC.
Surface hardener application is done with varying timings depending on the quality and type of concrete to be applied, weather and environmental conditions. Application speed increases in hot weather, and decreases in cold weather. Attention should be paid to the setting stages of the concrete during application.
Surface hardener applications should be done by expert applicators.
Surface hardeners are only intended to increase the abrasion and impact resistance of the surface to which they will be applied, they have no effect on the mechanical strength of the concrete to which they will be applied. Therefore, the concrete to which they will be applied must be designed according to the mechanical loads that will affect it.
The thickness of the screed on which Altop 100 will be applied must be over 7 cm, the water/cement ratio must be over 0.45 and the concrete class must be at least C25.
