Ifloor® ep series, contains 9% rubber. It features a high-density and cross-linked amorphous cell structure, which means it does not conduct sound or heat. Since boiled in rubber form, it exhibits a superior mechanical strength compared to standard pe products. The ep series, used to insulate airborne and impact-induced sounds between rooms, also offers high thermal insulation performance.
Ep550 products that come in various production thicknesses provide high mechanical strength and high-impact insulation under screed, under parquet and under carpet for all constructions, except for details that require very low frequency insulation, such as mechanical areas.
When determining what product to use for parquets, its performance under dynamic loads should be taken into consideration in step-load proportion. The important question here is: “what is the performance of the product after 2,000,000 steps?”
Ifloor® ep550 answers this question with ɛI,max, I.E., 0.21% permanent breakdown after 2 million repeated loads. Ep550 does not collapse under load and does not cause deformation in the upper shape of the structure.
The product series has antibacterial properties for all thicknesses. Ifloor® ep550 products are subject to the en 16354 standard as a production and post-production control test. The controls are designed to meet the requirements of this standard.
Available in rolls with production thicknesses between 2mm and 20mm. Coatings are applied under parquet, under screed, under raised floor panels, as a separating layer in light steel structures by free laying or by bonding to the subfloor.
